11,000 years ago, humans occupied an ancestral pueblo 256 miles northwest of where Enchantment Vineyards sits today. Homes were carved into the volcanic tuff and people lived off the native plants and animals of the land. This land is known today as Bandelier National Monument and is a treasured New Mexico landmark.
